Richard Mayson is an award-winning writer, author and editor specialising in fortified wines and the wines of Portugal. He is an eminent authority on vintage Port and madeira wine. Richard’s books are available from the shop on this website.

Intro

Richard Mayson has a spent a life-time tasting wines and has written thousands of tasting notes, many of which are published with scores on this website. He chairs the Port and Madeira tasting panel for the Decanter World Wine Awards and writes articles for Decanter and The World of Fine Wine Magazine. Richard is Series Editor for the Infinite Ideas Classic Wine Library.
